Abdomen is the softest part of the cat and it will be in danger if the stomach has been grab. Most of the time, cat will not lie down and let you stroke his abs. Only very relaxed cat and it knows you very well, it will allow you to stroke his belly and he will purr happily! grrrrrrrrr
