When you observe your cat posture, you can tell roughly that what is the room temperature. My cat semi-curled position tell me that he is not too cold and not too warm. So the room temperature might be around 20 degree celsius, more or less. If it is too warm, your cat might extend its legs fully.

^^ I don't think that this scientific knowledge is a fuck off story. It has been research with more than 5000 cats and get very accuracy estimation of the temperature from the cat. Don't shy to be anonymous!
