Not many time that you will see cat drink water. Actually, cat do need some water, but the water content in the food is usually enough for their need if they are moist or semi-moist. But if you give him only dry food, you must prepare fresh water for him to drink whenever he need. Forget to do that will make him sick with urinary stones and kidney faiure!

Lesson1: training a cat

Put the cat on the harness without the lead intermittently. Loosen it and let him familiar with some weight on his body. No rush. No punishment. Distract him with snack. He might respond by stand still, rolling, no move. At the end, your cat will stay calm and relax with the harness on his back. This step usually does not take so much time.

Use this style of harness instead of collar which your cat will easily slip and escape. Cat is escaping master!

Cattery

When you have to leave your home for a while and you cannot bring your cat with you. If somebody want to help you as a cat sitter, it would be nice. You can also find a cattery in your region and leave your cat their. It is quite expensive though (but obviously cheaper than bring him abroad). Check the reputation and comment of that cattery before choosing one and in a long holiday, book early to prevent disappointing.

Do you know the room temperature from the cat posture?

When you observe your cat posture, you can tell roughly that what is the room temperature. My cat semi-curled position tell me that he is not too cold and not too warm. So the room temperature might be around 20 degree celsius, more or less. If it is too warm, your cat might extend its legs fully.

Why do your cat love to sit near the window?

It depends on if it is an indoor cat. If it is, it might be wanting to go outside. And cats instincts tell them to hunt so, it might be watching the birds and seeing them as little snack.
Furthermore, to sit near the window on the sunny day will keep your cat warm.
